Another culture - the different one

This course addresses to people interested in the Romanian civilisation and culture, having solid knowledge in Romanian language.

There will be an overview of the literature, etnography, folklore, mentalities, social aspects of the Romanian culture (music, film or fine arts).

The lectures will include:

• Symbolism in Romania - the symbolistic of the birth, of the marriage, of the death
• Songs and dance in the Romanian culture
• Pottery and the art of ornamenting
• Easter eggs and their decoration - a way of Romanian life
• Moldavian monasteries - the blue of Voroneţ
• The Curtea de Arges Monastery and the legend of Manole
• Romanian cuisine
• Romanian woodcraft
